Celebrate National Public Lands Month in Hernando County

Socializing: 6:45 p.m.

Meeting starts: 7 p.m.

Land management agencies in Hernando County will share the best of the public lands they manage and that create opportunities for outdoor recreation. September is National Public Lands Month, and it is a great time to explore and enjoy all the amazing natural places open to us. 

Cypress Lake Preserve (Hernando County Environmentally Sensitive Lands)

Representatives from the Hernando County Environmentally Sensitive Lands Program, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Florida Forest Service, and the Southwest Florida Water Management District will speak and share maps, trail guides, important user info, and tips on where to go, and what to see. If you bird or watch wildlife, paddle, hike, take pictures, fish, hunt, ride bikes, or just explore, this is the program for you!
