Caitlin Newcamp

About the speaker: Caitlin Newcamp grew up exploring the outdoors in western Pennsylvania, which sparked a lifelong passion for environmental conservation. She earned a B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh before serving in the Peace Corps, where she taught high school science. Upon returning to the U.S., Caitlin worked at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C., focusing on pesticide regulation and water policy.

Today, Caitlin serves as the Everglades Policy Specialist for Audubon Florida, where she leads strategic conservation initiatives across the Greater Everglades Ecosystem – advancing measurable outcomes for bird and habitat protection by analyzing legislation, collaborating with state agencies, and advocating for science-driven policy solutions. Her work supports the success of the world’s largest ecosystem restoration program and strengthens Audubon’s impact throughout South Florida.
